Week: Two
Prompt: Sewing and Textile Finds.
Progress: Slow.
When something like a creative challenge is off to a great start, it usually is followed with an abrupt stop. (at least for me anyway..)
So week two is moving a little slower in terms of creating for the challenge, but that is to be expected with the start of Bonnie Christine’s Print & Pattern workshop.* I'm following along because I always find it inspirational and I'm also helping inside the community as a Guide which has been so rewarding and a full circle moment!
So yes, other things are pulling me in other directions, but I’m also finding that the pull to get back to it is strong… which is fun! For once it’s not pulling me into a void where you ask yourself “why did I start this?!
A Creative Challenge Update - Sewing & Textile Finds
Tonight, I am at the ski hill again, this time inside taking a break and working at some sketching. I plan on working on the motifs tonight and tomorrow will be pattern play!

I'm kind of using two things at once to get me creating again and it has been rewarding in terms of moving that creative muscle without the pressure I tend to put on myself.
But something is telling me to just keep going, make the marks, make the mistakes and just feel good about making that muscle move again!
Stay tuned.. I will have more to share in the coming days!
Print & Pattern Revival - With Bonnie Christine!
If you have not yet signed up for the free workshop, there is still time! Bonnie’s teaching has taken me to a spot in my creative career that I thought I should have been in years ago. I was chasing a spark and it took me 20 years to find it… and it was due to Bonnie.
